What is the best power tool brand in general?
Franchise asked:
What is everyone’s favorite power tool brand and why? Im thinking about choosing Milwaukee for my toolbox. So any feedback about Milwaukee or your other favorite brands of power tools are appreciated. Also Im looking for professional grade power tool brands.

i love dewalt powerful heavy duty very dependable.feels good in the hand, balanced gagootza
I think the best of the best is Festool. However, it comes with a price. A good all around tool, that is a bit cheaper is Dewalt or Ridgid. dusty8940
As tempting as it is to have a nice matching set, it isn’t always wise. depending on the job, certain manufacturers build better products. I came across a Consumer Research report compiled from several wholesale and resale dealers, with the following ratings:
Best Corded Circular Saw: Milwaukee 6394-21
Best Cordless Circular Saw: Makita BSS610 LXT
Best Cordless Drill Overall: Panasonic EY6432GQKW
Professional Cordless Drill: Makita LXT BDF451
Best 10-inch Sliding Miter Saw: Makita LS1013FL
Best Heavy-Duty Plunge Router: Bosch 1619EVS
Best Fixed-Base Wood Router: Milwaukee Body Grip 5615-21
Best Router Combo Kit: Bosch 1617EVSPK
Best-value Corded Jigsaw: Bosch 1590EVSK
Makita, Milwaulkee and DeWalt are always good bets - versatile, strong and easier to fix, usually without complicated parts that are difficult to find and replace. Ty S
I would say hitachi is the best all round brand, they look weird but work well. My father is big hitachi fan. He gets all the reconditioned ones.
but i love my
Milwaukee circ saw, corded drill, corded sawsall and impact driver.
Bosch router and jig saw (the jig saw is my hands down best tool)
Bostich nailers
Porter cable palm nailer (has multiple heads)
Makita chop saw.
I like my dewalt cordless drill while it works, but they seem to die early deaths, I have a 9 volt hitiachi drill that has outlived 3 dewalt drills. Chris
I generally buy one brand only, that is HILTI. Great tools, very strong. I have driven over a cordless drill with my tractor and baler with no ill effect to the tool and dropped my reciprocating saw into a tub of petrol and it still runs perfectly.
Make sure you buy Lithium Ion type tools in regards to cordless, they have no memory effect and work hard . One thing you may want to look into is the cost of replacement batteries for your tools, they can be ridiculous to replace.
I have had Milwaukee tools, well priced and good quality.
Have fun chosing. Don
