    Listed from most important to least important:

    1. Computer that can run Pro Tools M-Powered: Windows Vista 32 bit or Windows XP SP2, or Mac OSX 10.5/10.6 operating systems. At least 1 GB of RAM, 2 GB for smoother performance. A USB slot, and a CD-ROM drive.

    2. The Pro Tools M-Powered software

    3. An iLok (Comes with the software)

    4. An M-Audio audio interface

    5. An external hard drive with 7200 RPMs

    6. Monitors or Headphones

    7. Microphones and cables

    8. MIDI Keyboard controller

    9. External signal processing gear

    1 through 4 are must-haves in order to even run Pro Tools, but everything else would just allow you to run things smoother. The external hard drive is probably the most crucial because running Pro Tools sessions from the computer that Pro Tools is installed on has been known to cause some problems. Taigawithapen
