amd having a hard time doing so.I don’t have phantom power. but i have a mic input on the back of the interface.so why i can’t record my vocal i really really need some help.

Hi I have pro tools m powered 8 and a M Audio Interface.
But I don’t Have iLok, which i heard is necessary for some plugins. Is it that I can’t start pro tools without iLok or the pro tools will start the plugins wont work (iLok Authorized ones)??

Pro tools said it is out of memory during elastic audio processing. It says to reduce elastic compression or switch tracks to render mode. How do I do this? Thanks!

The speakers are some speakers from my old stereo and I have a pro tools m-box mini. The speakers have the red and black cables but the m-box has 1/4″ outputs and hooks up via usb. Can I get a converter from the black and red stereo cable to 1/4″ and if so can the usb power the speakers and the m-box without issues? Or do I need to buy some fancy studio monitors or a speaker amp or receiver?

Regardless of the hardware. Is there any difference between the LE software and the M-Powered software?

Just to clarify, the box that comes with the pro-tools essentials recording studio. Not the more expensive versions. Does it provide phantom power through the XLR input for condenser mics?

Hey, this might sound dumb, but I don’t know how to turn on phantom power for my microphone on pro tools m-powered. Can someone please explain to me how I do this? I have an ST51 condenser microphone that needs phantom power to stream through pro tools. Can someone list the steps I have to do in order to get this to work?

My microphone doesn’t have an on/off switch so I need to do something different.

I am using Pro tools m powered with the m box on my windows ultimate laptop and im wondering if i could use a usb mic(yeti) for the whole set.

Right now I’m running Pro Tools on a Power PC G5 tower with a 1.52 GHZ processor and 768MB of memory.

when i install pro tools m powered 7.4 a warning says that you need a windows update to install….
What is the name of this update?
