I would like to start doing some DIY work at home.

Buying power tools these days is like finding a needle in a haystack. There are lots of brands to choose from, but what brand offer the best value for money and the best service?

What would people prefer to buy:
1. Ridgid Tools
2. Makita
3. De Walt
4. Or something else

I would like to start recording with pro tools, but keep it simple. I have a very minimum set-up (Akai MPC) and don’t won’t to spend a lot of money on pro tools. I was thinking along the lines of a cheap m-audio interface with pro tools m-powered or an m box 2 mini, any suggestions?

Alright, so please, before you begin to think I’m an idiot please hear me out.

I’m seventeen years old, and today I traveled about an hour away to go to a very nice mall. I was driving along with a friend. On the way back from the mall, we ran into road construction, so I punched into my GPS to find me a detour. All I had to do was take the next exit. Which I did.

Anyhow right at the end of the exit was the turn pike, but for where I was going, the turnpike toll booth was like right at the very end of the exit. I thought it was going to be a tool booth where you’d grab a ticket and go….but it wasn’t. There was only one toll booth, (For Ez-pass, and cash) and i pulled up to it and instead of having some lady ask for money it was a coin slot… The screen said I owed 75 cents. I dug through my purse as fast as I could, I wasn’t expecting to get right off the exit and find the booth! But I could only find 2 quarters, and a whole line of traffic was blowing their horns behind me.
I panicked, and just drove off…without paying. It was my parent’s car, and I know they take pictures of your license plate so they can bill you…But I never even picked up a ticket…and the tool booth was right at the end of the exit!

I don’t want my parents to think I’m irresponsible… So I’d like to know if I will be billed at all, and how they bill you…and how much I should expect. Please remember that all I did was take an exit and I didn’t even travel down a highway…there was just this toll both at the end of the exit, and I hadn’t picked up a ticket before hand….Please tell me what’s going to happen, and am I going to have to tell my parents?

i quit my job recently to work for a better company. i work in the construction trades as a tradesmen. i needed to quit my job abruptly so that the company that i was going to work for wouldnt fill the job that i was applying for. now, the company that i used to work for is refusing to pay me for the vacation pay that i have coming saying that i didnt give them 2 weeks notice , so therefore, they dont have to pay me for that vacation pay. now in the company manual it states that they would like to have at least 1 week notice upon terminating your employment there and it doesnt say anything about holding back any pay if you dont comply. i didnt give them any notice that i was quitting. i went there to pick up some of my tools and left immediately. they owe me about $3000.00 for the vacation days that i have coming . if it wasnt a significant amount i really wouldnt care but 3 grand is alot of money for me. can they do what they are doing legally?

Hi,
Think you have a small company that works as a subcontractor with big companies in Construction and electrical fields, You recieve some money in advance and the rest at end of project.
You have three or four small projects and you can’t control all of them so you place three persons for leading each project and you give them money to buy any thing needed for completion of project like tools and materials, So my question is what system I must use to have the expenses under control?
please give some detail.
