How do I run power out to the shed?
We’re building a shed in the back of the property. How do I run the power out their for my boyfriend to use power tools? If I were to run extension cords, I would need two or three. We do have a generator. Should I just use that?

How to connect Generator with L14-30 extension cord to a ‘construction’ electrical box?
I have a 5500 watt generator. I also have a 50 ft L14-30 extension cord. Instead of running a bunch of long extension cords from the gen to tools and lights, I want to make an electrical box I can plug in 50 feet away (the other end of the L14-30 cord) then run equipment off that 4 outlet box.
I got a good metal electrical box and two standard 110v receptacles. I also got a matching L14-30 Plug to go at the end of the extension cord and into the “construction” box.
One receptacle will be marked “A” for one side of the gen and the other side receptacle will marked “B” for the other side of the gen to keep the load balanced from the generator.
So, my question is how to connect the 4 poles from the L14-30 plug to each of two 110v receptacle in the ‘construction’ box???
Help appreciated…
