Buying power tools for my husband. Brands?
Hello everyone,
I’m purchasing a tool set for my husband. I have selected a Makita Lithiom-Ion tool set for him that includes a drill, an impact drill, a light and a circular saw (whatever that is). The price is quite hefty (over $400 for the set).
My question is, is Makita a good brand? I’ve never heard of this brand.
It seems to be top rated, but I wondering if I should buy Dewalt, Skil or Milwakee instead. I’m trying to replace that piece of crap Black and decker set that i gave him for chrismas a couple of years back LOL.

Black & Decker Power Tool Junior Workshop (Anyone else buy this for their child?)?
My son is 2 & I really wanted to get him the Black & Decker Power Tool Junior Workshop and not sure if he would really play with it I went out and bought a little cheap miniature tool set. It was also black and decker for $8 to see if he would have any interest at all with it. Well he did and we were astounded that he knew what the hammer was used for & went around the house “fixing everything - beating on things” & Then we showed him once how to use the screw driver & screw the screws into a fake piece of wood and he tried this as well! He loves to carry around the pliers that came with the set and all in all enjoys that little tool set.
Well, I decided to go ahead and buy the Black and Decker Workshop, it was $55+tax & I’m wondering others opinions on this tool set?
I see step 2 makes one, there is one out to do with Handy Manny I’m just wondering if I bought the best one for him. I buy a lot of things off from walmart.com I love their free site to store shipping, I went through their reviews & almost all of them are GREAT!
This is a Christmas Gift btw, So I’m not going to open it to see if he likes it then have to take it back away from him.
If you have bought this for your child how do they like it? Their Ages?

How do you think a company like Black and Decker can improve sales, with the poor housing market?

Black and Decker makes tools and fasteners, and are currently struggling since the construction market is struggling.
