I have been working on cars for a while with basic tools, no power tools really. Now I want to start doing body work and just have air tools to make it all easier. So I would like to have an overall air compressor that can handle everything. I don’t know quite much on the subject, but I am currently reading up on it. So I’m just curious, what should I look for? What should the CFM be to handle all the tools I want? How big of a tank should I get?

I have a standard air compressor that is used to power air tools and pump up flat tires. Can I use it to fill an HPA tank for my paintball gun? I believe I would need special ports or nozzles if I can.

First, what is the advantage of air-powered tools over electric powered tools? I have used air tools before…just wondering about any specific advantages.

Second, do most (or all) air compressors allow the operator to regulate output pressure?

Let’s say the compressor advertises a maximum of 150 psi, but I don’t want more than 90 psi.

Thanks in advance.

how many people have had problems with the “compressed air”? plumbing tools, like “one second plumber”,.

Would I be able to use a regular air tool underwater to scrub a boat hull?
I’m talking about regular air tools like what you’d use in your shop/garage. I want to use one to scrub the bottom of a boat in the water.

I want to do work in my driveway. Is there any special hookup I’ll need for the compressor like a 220 line? or can I go with less HP and just plug it into a regular socket? What air tools do I need? A buffer and sander are different tools right?
