    1) He has to report them stolen.
    2) He has to notify the authorities when/if he finds them. He cannot take them back on his own accord. Crown Royal

    He will need to contact the police when he finds them. They will make sure they get returned to him. Citicop

    Report it. If its in a descent sized city, they have a detective assigned to checking pawn shops for stolen property. Brandon M
