Gigs asked:

Is it me or does road construction really aggravate people? Why does it always seem they are doing road work to roads that seem in good shape while side roads that are filled with potholes remain? Why takes it so long for them to finish? And why does it seems like 1 guy is operating a truck or using a power tool while 3 others are either standing there watching him or sitting on their asses?

If you let things aggravate you, you can be aggravated a lot.

It could be that right at the moment you were going past, they were getting their lunch break.

It could be that the construction work is not well organized, to keep everyone busy and productive at the same time.

Here is a bit of humor to cheer you up.

Have you ever noticed that during the day there is a lot of traffic on the roads, but during the night there is hardly any, so how come they do the construction work during the day when the roads are busy, and not at night when less lanes going each way would be practical without causing a traffic jam?

Well the answer you see, is that the purpose of road construction is not to keep the roads in good condition, it is for people to see their tax dollars at work.

If you are forever seeing them doing costruction on the roads, you think your tax dollars are being spent some place they are needed, so you are less likely to want to study the budget to see how much tax payer money pays for the Governor vacation in Hawaii, how the pay scale of the legislators compares to the ordinary people who pay the taxes, whether they repairing bridges so they don’t fall down.

Its because you are easily agitated. I drive a truck and watch those people everyday. Your right but ya might as well cool yer chip set cause life’s the same everywhere and there is noting you can do about it.
