Phantom Power on Pro Tools M-Powered?
Hey, this might sound dumb, but I don’t know how to turn on phantom power for my microphone on pro tools m-powered. Can someone please explain to me how I do this? I have an ST51 condenser microphone that needs phantom power to stream through pro tools. Can someone list the steps I have to do in order to get this to work?
Thanks
My microphone doesn’t have an on/off switch so I need to do something different.

Hi,
I’m the one who answered your last question. Phantom Power will be located on your interface, not on your microphone. I’m not sure if I’m right but I think I remember you saying you had the M-Audio Fast Track USB? If so I’m sorry to tell you that your interface doesn’t have phantom power. I would suggest returning either the microphone or the interface and getting either an interface with phantom power or a microphone that doesn’t require phantom power (dynamic microphones and most ribbon microphones).
If it wasn’t you who had the Fast Track USB feel free to update your question with which interface you have and I can try and help you from there.
Best of Luck,
KDecka.
Edit: I’ve done more research and there are two different versions of the Fast Track USB. The one with the knobs on the front does not have phantom power. The one with the knobs on the top does. It is a black switch on the back of the interface. KDecka
