Just because your a guy, do you have to be into sports, power tools and stuff like that?

I am a male, and most of the stuff I’m into is not the stuff that is traditionaly associated with male bonding. I lke books, eclectic music, talking with friends about feelings, and drawing and the arts.
I am slightly touchy feely in my pesonality, some would call me a wimp. more of my friends are female than male. Oddly, although I want a wife, all of my female friends that arent taken are not interested in me in that way. I am straight. Very much so. But I am not macho, and do not understand macho-ness instinctively. So am I normal or not?

    u r normal. by tradition in the male dominated society certain traits and hobbies are considered male and othere female. this is wrong. positionmay change. u shud do as u please. one day u will also get an understanding and sincere gf. sunlightsublime

    U should be very normal i suppose, u may not be macho, u r a artistic person sort at heart and feminine by nature. Thats ok. But r u sexually male? please be confident about that, if u r in a dilemma about this consult a sexologist. If u r confidant ur sexually ok, then dont worry relax. U will meet ur partner sooner or later. paddy

    Of course your normal. I am a straight female and probably know more about sports and cars then most guys. I had 3 brothers and ironically I was the sports nut(go sox). My dad and I used to watch sports together on tv when I was a kid. My brothers had little interest. I would say I’m sexist though because I always think guys know more about cars than me. I asked my neighbor once about something going wrong w/my car, an older gent who I figure would be expert. He did all the things one might expect, hemmed, mmmm, looked under the hood, kicked the tires, opened some caps…looked very professional. I went into see his wife who was laughing hysterically. she said “he doesn’t know squat about cars, but thanks you’re making him feel good”. another time my water heater was leaking so I asked him. I had it pretty much under control until he fooled around with a valve and it was like Niagara falls. there are tons of women who would kill to meet a guy like you. inkster7

    If you could define “normal” I’d give you a yes or a no.
    As far as I’m concerned you’re human, you do what you do, you have your likes, dislikes, idiosyncrasies, etc.
    So what if you don’t give a rats a** for cars, tools, sports or f***ing every girl you meet.
    You sound like an alright guy, but the confirmation of that needs to come from within you - not yahoo answers. killingtime4201

    Yes your very normal. Everyone is different and I don’t judge people on what they like or dislike to do with their spare time. Jai
