Has your wife or girlfriend become attached to your power tools?

Colt asked:

Ever since my wife first used my Dewalt drill driver, that’s the tool for everything! Even if it’s just a screw that needs a little tightening, and a regular screwdriver would do, she breaks out the heavy equipment.
I have the full compliment of accesories. Drill bits, screw driver heads, etc.
I will say this. We had an old dog house that was coming appart. She went at it with some wood screws and the Dewalt, and it’s not going to fall apart now…lol
Anyone else’s wife or gf like this?

Yeah man, I made our washing machine a psneumatic drill and she’s been riding that thing endlessly.

Frankly, I’m worried about her health. It can’t be healthy to have that many orgasms and leak that much sex fluids every day. I mean, it’s more than just water right?

And I don’t think gatoraid is enough to replenish sex juices. arothespoonman

    well
if you would fix what is broke when we first tell you

I am a wife like this!
Give me a power tool and I will use it.
I especially like the Makita range, plenty of umph!

If a girl can lift it she probably can use it! Velvet

Colt- That’s great that your wife is taking an interest in fixing things around the house! If you wonder what to get her for Christmas-you just got your answer. Get her a few basic tools and show her how to properly use them so she doesn’t get hurt. Maybe get some lumber and show her how to do a few simple projects, like building a bird house or feeder. It’s a great way for the both of you to spend time together! Also the better she gets at repairs, the less she’ll have to wait on you to do.
Forgot to mention-They have a whole line of power tools made just for women. Because we have smaller hands then the guys, some of the regular sized power tools are difficult, if not impossible for us to use. I have a hard time running a circular saw because I can’t hold down the safety button and hit the trigger at the same time. My answer was to duct tape down the safety button. Not a smart thing to do, but it works! judy b

Well if it doesn’t BRUISE any ego you have; inflated or not; you probably should say “Thanks” occasionally.

In a deeper sense of what’s going on; this is as much an experience she Wants to SHARE in; as opposed to sending messages about your inabilities, or lack of working the
To-Do list., and should be allowed to without any “attachments”. I don’t see any call to FEAR this, and again, if the balance of the relationship is working; what’s the sin in working together; on something you both seem to get into.

On another note, not mentioned; the fact that she is interested might be dilluted if you suggested or purchased tools designated strictly HERS. It seems to me that would contradict the intent. DIY Doc

No. My girl friends or sisters don’t, but it’s my husband that is the problem! He just won’t leave any of my power tools alone. It would be way different if he at least knew how to use them. I think he ought to stay in the kitchen doing his cooking and leave the building ,fix it stuff to his wife. And this is no joke either! It’s true! And my sisters have their own power tools and workshop also! Sandyspacecase
