    to draw an n-gon using rotations, 360 must be divisible by n

    since 360 / 12 = 30, you can draw a 12-gon using 30-degree rotations (where the 30 degrees will be the exterior angle)

    for a 15-gon, 360 / 15 = 24, so there will be 24 degree rotations (again, the 24-degrees is the exterior angle)

    only a compass can be used in formal geometric construction

    a circle can mark equal distances in a construction
