construction tools
ur bloody guts on my rented tux asked:

10 points to you if you get it right

you get a box alarm for heavy fire showing at a type one construction facility

you are going to make entry via front double in swing doors

what type of tool do you need to manipulate the panic hardware on a panic bar
well…. i guess i will answer the question for all of you

the only answer that i found embaressing to our career is that of boomrat, there are so many flaws in your answer idk were to start. you said that the least of your worries is the door, when in fact it is the safest means of entry and egress.
you also said that you know the tool but your not going to wait for the probie to go back and get it. well boom rat, dont you think you should of brought all of your forcible entry tools to the door the first time? (not including a ram, or bam bam)

you didnt think things through

THE ANSWER:

THE DOOR WAS AN IN SWING, WHY WOULD THERE BE A PANIC BAR ON THE INSIDE WHEN THE DOOR OBSIOUSLY WONT PUSH OUT
NO SPECIAL TOOL IS NEEDED FOR THIS ENTRY ONLY AN H-BAR, A FLATTY, AND THE K TOOL.

OUR JOB INVOLVES THINKING AND PLANNING OUR ACTIONS AHEAD OF TIME

BOOMRAT: I DONT THINK YOU SHOULD BE CALLIN ANYONE A PROBIE WHEN IT SOUND LIKE YOUR ONE UR SELF

    ah s h i t. I don’t know. You’re making me think too much.

At least I was honest and said I didn’t know…. I’m a shiny new student.. thanks for asking the question

If its a blowing and a going the the least of my worry is the door. A Axe head to break the glass then once the doors are open I will use wedges to hold it open.
Now I know there is a tool used for this but I am not going to wait for the probie to go back to the truck and get it.

Ouch sounds like someone had the chief bite a little tail this morning.
1st- How does breaking out glass and holding the door open with wedges compromise your egress? Matter a fact it helps.
2nd- It must be nice to have more then a three man crew making first on scene entry so you have personnel to carry all these tools you are talking about. A Axe is a forcible entry tool and a very good one if used right.
Now sorry if I didn’t read your little question correctly but had I come up on your scene as you described, bells would have gone off.
Now have a good day and stay out of the C-1 office
