Power tools (unless industrial) are not a the reason your bill is high. The A/C would be, so would electric heat and an electric hot water tank, use of an oven and use of a clothes dryer.
Your rate may be higher during prime-time hours (8am-8pm, depending where you live). Limit use to off peak hours. Or switch to gas appliances. Brendan R
