I’m trying to get out of buying an Interface. What I plan on doing it recording music on my portastudio and transferring the file to the Pro Tools m-powered 8 to edit it. Is it possible to do this or MUST I buy an Interface?

im new to this, so i don’t know how to “MOUNT” a file….i…borrowed a game from a freind and downloaded it, and in the instructions it says to MOUNT the image file and download….where do i mount it?? what the heck is going on?!?!?
(….we all know the above situation isnt true but lets say HYPOTHETICALLY it is….what do i do then?)
