We were fine up until I started asking questions like “you don’t seem to be as into me as I am you” etc. and he kind of freaked out. He told me he would rather just “be friends” but still kisses me and stuff. He just got out of a 10 year relationship and is scared to jump right into another serious one. But we still talk every night and hang out a lot and plan on spending new years together. It’s a really weird situation. He is kind of stand-off-ish around me now too.

Anyway, about 3 weeks ago when things were fine I got him a Leatherman Wave (a super nice “tool” pocket knife) and got his initials engraved on it (Creepy or cool?). He works in construction and hunts so I thought it would be a pretty cool gift.

Creepy to still give it to him or would it be okay? I don’t expect anything from him, of course.

I got it for him for Christmas…he is 29 and I am 24.

We were talking and the subject of school came up and how she’s going to a university and i’m going to a community college. and she was bragging about how the university is so much better and i said yea it’s more expensive too. and she said but i’ll make more money in 2 months than you will in a year. and i asked how she figured that and she said because she’s going to be a sports marketer and i’m going to be nothing more than a mechanic. and i said yea but i’ll be needed. and she said no you’ll never be needed. now then last time i checked a mechanic will always be needed since we’re always going to have cars. and i said well you schoolings going to be more expensive and 75% of my money is going into my tools. she said “well i can afford to go to a university and you can’t”. so i said no comment. she told me i was still a jerk and she got all pissed and signed off. now then before we go any further the reason i said no comment is because she isn’t paying for her schooling like i am. her dad owns a construction business and she ain’t paying a dime to go to school. that’s why i said no comment. so the way i see it she can’t afford a university her dad can. anyway am i the jerk in the conversation for saying no comment after listening to all her bs or is she in the wrong?
