Could a 12V jump starter tool power a small winch? I’m using it once in a blue moon for this?

Chris R asked:

I have a small 2000lb winch that is 12V and needs a 12V power source. I would hate to buy a deep cycle battery just to power it. It sits in my garage and I use it to pull in my ATV and camper. I have it mounted in the concrete. I will use this thing like 5-6 times a year.

So I need a good power source and would prefer NOT to go buy a big battery. Rather I would like to get a useful tool that I can use for other things.

I was thinking about this jump starter tool.

I would clamp on the 12V jump starter cables onto the winch power input cables and use the winch. The winch will run less than 20 seconds.

Do you think this thing could pull it off?

Thanks!
*EDIT
here is the winch I’m using. It’s pretty small.

I didn’t pay at a toll booth?

Alright, so please, before you begin to think I’m an idiot please hear me out.

I’m seventeen years old, and today I traveled about an hour away to go to a very nice mall. I was driving along with a friend. On the way back from the mall, we ran into road construction, so I punched into my GPS to find me a detour. All I had to do was take the next exit. Which I did.

Anyhow right at the end of the exit was the turn pike, but for where I was going, the turnpike toll booth was like right at the very end of the exit. I thought it was going to be a tool booth where you’d grab a ticket and go….but it wasn’t. There was only one toll booth, (For Ez-pass, and cash) and i pulled up to it and instead of having some lady ask for money it was a coin slot… The screen said I owed 75 cents. I dug through my purse as fast as I could, I wasn’t expecting to get right off the exit and find the booth! But I could only find 2 quarters, and a whole line of traffic was blowing their horns behind me.
I panicked, and just drove off…without paying. It was my parent’s car, and I know they take pictures of your license plate so they can bill you…But I never even picked up a ticket…and the tool booth was right at the end of the exit!

I don’t want my parents to think I’m irresponsible… So I’d like to know if I will be billed at all, and how they bill you…and how much I should expect. Please remember that all I did was take an exit and I didn’t even travel down a highway…there was just this toll both at the end of the exit, and I hadn’t picked up a ticket before hand….Please tell me what’s going to happen, and am I going to have to tell my parents?

To be or not to be (an Automotive Technician)?

I wanted to be an Automotive Service Technician, but now I am confused.

I know that it costs a lot of money for tools, but I’m not sure if they get paid less than construction workers who only pay much less for their tools. As for the work that automotive techs do, I’m not sure if I enjoy it anymore.

I am at my last year of high school and time is going by fast. Should I take an extra year? Take a year off of school? Or just give the auto trade one more shot? I am taking a co-op course at school for a dealership.

Ok..today I went to look at a 2006 Mercedes c-230 (individual seller who was moving back to India) fully loaded…30k miles..I talked them down from $20,500..to $19,800.

Conditions: Will need new tires for the front..in the near future.
A visible small dent on the passenger side, a tiny lil crack in the window..scratches..but nothing bad…two of the rims are scoffed around the edges (looks like someone was hitting the curb)….leather/vinyl seats were dirty..the back seats and mats were ok..the trunk was full of construction tools. He said that they were hauling tools to a construction site in it. I have already pull the carfax (it was good)..I saw one of the service records. I know this is pretty cheap and I don’t wanna mess up a good deal. DO you think my expectations are too high? I know I wasn’t expecting a brand new car..but I didn’t expect to see what I saw either.
OH WOW! THAT WAS FAST! THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL THE ANSWERS!

My mother’s car needs repaired due to several dents that she has incurred over the years. But she is on a fixed income and can’t afford to have it put in a Auto Repair Shop. I know beauty schools offer discounts for customers who allow their students to practice on them while they are going to school.
