Pro Tools LE 7 on Power PC Mac G4?

I am in the process of purchasing the Digidesign Mbox2. My current computer is a Macbook with 1 GHZ RAM that runs on OS x 10.4.8. I have a Power-PC based Mac G4 that am planning on fixing up to run Pro-Tools LE. Will Pro-Tools LE 7.x run on the older G4 if I have it upgraded to run on OS X 10.4.8 or should I concider purchasing a new computer. I would like to not have to use my Macbook for recording, but am open to the idea.

I need to upgrade this Mac for pre-production. I have about 400 to put into this and getting another mac is not an option right now. I can upgrade in stages if its more than 400, but i really need this to be up and running by Mid to late September. I’m thankful for any help at all, as heavily detailed as possible.

I just started going to school for animation and my old Laptop’s just not doing the trick anymore. I need a good desktop. I am much more familiar with PC, but regardless I want the best computer for using pro tools like Photoshop. But a good price.
Can with good knoweledge of digital media let me know whats up?

Also I wont be using it to play games with, but I will use it for animation and sound construction.
