Who was a better 5 tool player Willie Mays or Mickey Mantle?
Seems now a days most guys are one dimensional and specialize in one tool..But cant combine great power, high batting average, play great defense and run like the wind and have a cannon arm..
(Maybe Hanley Ramirez but Pujols is a turtle on the bases..)
Back in the old days there was Mantle and Mays..
So which of these was a better 5 tool player?
BTW i have no idea why Mick never stole bases considering Yogi Berra said he ran like a horse…

2B: Brandon Phillips (CIN) .288 BA, 30 HR, 94 RBI, 32 SB
SS: Jimmy Rollins (PHI) .296 BA, 30 HR, 94 RBI, 41 SB
3B: Alex Rodriguez (NYY) .314 BA, 54 HR, 156 RBI, 24 SB
OF: Eric Byrnes (ARZ) .286 BA, 21 HR, 83 RBI, 50 SB
OF: Grady Sizemore (CLE) .277 BA, 24 HR, 78 RBI, 33 SB

C: Russell Martin (LAD) .293 BA, 19 HR, 87 RBI, 21 SB

Bench: David Wright (NYM) .325 BA, 30 HR, 107 RBI, 34 SB

Give me your best five-tool team and I’ll choose the best one…
Hey Eric… you don’t think that a .288 batting average is good?? You’re an idiot.
Sorry… I meant Jeff
chrisguy… I totally forgot about H-Ram!! He was on my list that I had and meant to put him at SS and Rollins on the bench!! DOH!
Jake K… Ellsbury I don’t think can be a 30HR threat… 15, maybe even 20 yes… but definitely not 30.
