    Legally, if it’s a home power tool, nothing. You are responsible for it from the point of purchase onwards.

    If you’re in a business then it usually needs a SOAK check every 12 months, most other things depend on individual industry regulations and you need to give more information before anybody can give you a definitive answer on that. Meilin

    Here in Aus. Before you go to work on a construction site…. ALL… your power tools must be checked by authorised Electrician and tagged within 12mths, Along with your Union??card, W.H.& safety cards ,Public liability,,Blue,green.white whatever card… Gone are the good days when all you needed was to turn up to work,work get paid drink it up friday back mon. do it all over again you did your job good and no wanky assed boy inspector telling you what you can and can’t do. Time for a coldy, beer o’clock. Ciao STEVE G 66
