I am considering buying some tools at Harbor Freight store, what is your opinion of their hand tools/power tools? are their lathes/mills of good quality? Does anyone know if their automobile code readers are worth buying? What about their dial indicators or calipers/micrometers? Drill Presses? I’m eager to use a 20% off coupon.

Ive use a few of there tools (hand tools and calipers) There OK. About the same quality as Craftsman tools. They are not snap on quality but not cheap Walmart either. Some of there prices are good. I would compare there price to Sears price and go from there. lowtek_dh_77

Nearly everything they sell is made in China. The quality is OK, but not equal to some of the prestige label American made tools, but they get the job done . I’ve made many purchases from them. Peedlepup

I bought several things from them. Some of the really cheap goods are poor but in general most stuff is pretty nice.I use the mini metal lathe a lot,it’s solid and accurate. The drill presses are great too. wildmanny2
