Age laws on power tools?

I live in queensland australia, and im 14, wanting to do some projects ( will have adult supervision ) but wanted to know what the age laws are on buying power tools eg jigsaw, drill etc, if there is any laws, i tryed to buy a soldering iron before christmas and the guy didnt trust me, thanks

I don’t think that there is any law on the subject, but many stores will choose not to sell to you simply because they don’t want to deal with the lawsuit that will come when you slice off a finger. Stores are free to set such policies if they wish. laughter_every_day
